Harry Caray Baseball Icon – 100th Birthday Celebration!

Harry Caray, the famed long-time announcer for the hapless Chicago Cubs‘ 100th birthday was on Saturday. Harry passed in 98, but not before revolutionizing the 7th inning stretch into a marquee segment of every game, especially at Wrigley Field where it is now an honor to follow in Harry’s warbled mic-steps.

Harry was very passionate about the Cubs, that you know, but what you couldn’t ever expect was his passion about…Cracker Jacks?

In 2005, my dad and I visited Chicago on our baseball tour and of course we posed by the famed statue outside of Wrigley.

Yes, I DX’d it. It would have been weird if I didn’t.
